Partnerships Accounting:

Disadvantages:

• When there are joint and several liabilities, each partner is responsible not only for their activities in the business but also for all of the other partners’ actions in the business.

• Unlimited liability: A partnership, similar to a sole proprietorship, is subject to unlimited liability. By forming a limited liability partnership, it is possible to prevent this situation.

• Taxation: Just like a sole proprietor, partners in a business are subject to income tax based on the share of the company’s profits that they own, and they are also subject to Class 4 National Insurance contributions.

• Control: Throughout the daily operations of the company, there is always the possibility that disagreements could occur, which could particularly slow down the decision-making process.
